| Our Review: In The Ballad of Little Joe, a familiar bible story is brought to new life as Little Joe is put to the test by his family, and God. Little Joe is thrown into a mine shaft and sold to robbers. He works at a pizza joint and gets thrown in jail, but in the end, it is Little Joe who comes out on top, helping and forgiving those who have persecuted him. Our two year old son wants to hear this story over and over again. His copy of the book is tattered and worn, yet he carries it around with him all day long, chattering about Little Joe. At only $3.99, this is an extremely good value. It is well written and fun to read. Reviewed by Elaine Russo for Book Boo (http://www.bookboo.com) From the Publisher: The VeggieTales characters retell the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors—as a Western!—in this delightful Little Golden Book. Little Joe has it tough. His jealous brothers sell him to some desperados, then he ends up in jail in Dodge Ball City for a crime he didn’t commit. But through it all, Little Joe keeps the faith because he knows God is looking out for him. Based on the VeggieTales video of the same name, The Ballad of Little Joe is sure to enrich and entertain. |
